Cassumally was an undergraduate in Arts. He was a Share Broker till about 1942 and was a partner in the business of film exhibitors carried on at the Royal Opera House in Bombay.

Though he stopped his work as a Share Broker, Cassumally kept his interest in the Share Market and had good financial knowledge.

Cassumally was for many years the President of the Ismailia Co-operative Housing Society.

Cassumally was a man of simple habits and spent a lot of time in prayers

Mr. Hooseinally M. Rahimtoola had round about 1940, prepared some Family Notes. He had also kept, prior to his departure for Africa, some rough notes with his younger brother Suleman and, later on, some more notes with his son Jaffar. This paper is an attempt to put together the available data for future generations of the family. It is hoped that the younger members of the family will periodically up-date this paper.
