The German Colonial Handbook 1903 mentions Dossabai Thawer" as a grain merchant resident in the German East Africa capital of Bagamoyo in 1903.
He is also listed in the German Colonial handbook 1908 as a grain merchant. he is also listed in 1908 version of the German Colonial Handbook as trading in Magalla near Mwanza.
