It is unclear when the earliest Ismaili migration to Canada occurred. Husain Rahim, who is thought to be Khoja Ismaili, arrived in Vancouver in 1910 and became prominent in the 1914 Komagata Maru standoff (Simon Fraser University Library, 2012).
