Ali Ramzan Damji

Ali Ramzan, who had a beautiful voice, was a music lover and he married Fatma bai Khaki Mistry Shivji, who played pump harmonium.

Due to encouragement from both the parents, all his 6 sons and 2 daughters in their own right became famous for their musical/singing talent.

1. Designated first chauffeur during Mawlana Sultan Muhammad Shah’ s visit to Zanzibar.

2. During Golden Jubilee of Mawlana Sultan Muhammad Shah he was awarded with Golden Jubilee & Diamond medals for his dedicated Jamati services.

3. 1948 he was recognized by the Gymkhana Cricket club DSM as the best wicket-keeper of Tanganyika.
