Our Guiding Principles and Rules are summarized below:

KhojaWiki.org is not a religious endeavor; nor a forum for political views; nor a revenue or advertising medium; nor a personal blog nor an experiment in communal governance. It also does not pretend to be an exhaustive dictionary, periodical nor an authority on any subject.

KhojaWiki.org seeks facts and images - dates, people, and places - information that has a family and a Khoja historical significance. We recognize that such story-telling is ultimately only the opinion and choice of the individual contributor nonetheless we strive for information that has the widest acceptance.

KhojaWiki.org is free content that anyone can edit unless specifically protected by the contributor but it can and will be freely distributed. We will however delete whatever is deemed unacceptable to us. Please respect copyright laws and avoid plagiarizing your sources. Identify and acknowledge your sources. Non-free content is allowed under fair use, but please strive to find free alternatives to any media or content that you wish to add to KhojaWiki.org.

Since all your contributions can be freely licensed to the public, no editor owns any article; all of your contributions may be mercilessly edited if you allow open access to your contributions.

We will not hesitate to present multiple points of view on any event etc. as long as it does not create sectarian controversy. We will try to present each point of view accurately and in context and not presenting any point of view as "the truth" or "the best view". All essays and articles must strive for verifiable accuracy so please provide references, if available. That means citing verifiable, authoritative sources, especially on topics with multiple viewpoints and particularly when a subject is a living individual. We welcome the contributor's personal experiences but we do not guarantee that personal opinions, ideas or arguments will be accommodated. Personal stories of the contributors will be accepted on face value but may have to be substantiated, if challenged.

In recording your events, you may quote freely from leading figures of the Khoja and the wider community as long as you identify the source of authority for your quote. All commentary must be in quotes. Some authorities, such as H.H the Agakhan have expressly protected their speeches and writings under copyright laws of Canada. Respect their wishes.

KhojaWiki.org contributors should interact in a respectful and civil manner. We believe that as peoples of the Indian subcontinent, we are inheritors of a proud tradition of tolerance - for over 10,000 years, we have co-existed amongst many races, religions, sects, gods, goddesses, rituals, languages, etc. Respect and be polite to your fellow KhojaWiki.org contributors, even when you disagree. Avoid personal attacks. If you must disagree, attack the idea, not the person, Act in good faith and assume good faith on the part of others. Be open.

KhojaWiki.org operates under strictly enforced rules. Violate and we will remove your contributions.

However, our rules are evolving - if you think change is necessary - tell us here
