One of these may have been the house of Kanji Chianji, whose representative at Muqdisho was one Fadi Lashi. A major debtor of this house from Muqdisho named Abubakr-bin-Aood, who had been drawing hundreds of dollars of credit from them for three years and was involved with the liquidation of the Filionardi concession there, was arrested with all his goods and letters of credit while on business in Zanzibar.[1]
