Mithoobhai Kassam Suleman Verjee

Another Verjee had a famous business right across the Khoja Mosque at Mithoo House.This was Mithoo KSV.
He was such a modest man and was only known as Mithoo. He owned Ismailia Hotel, which served the best Bhajia and vada in town. I didn,t even know he was a Verjee. He was the youngest grandson of Kassam Suleman Verjee and people called him an angel. He did so much charity and nudged a lot of people to do good. He never mentioned anything so most people are unaware of the good he did. I learnt of a few things but I decided that they were not for me to reveal. He is dead now, but a lot of people owe him gratitude. Their secrets are also safe, because that is how he wanted it. His maternal granddaughter has recently written about the man who was called an angel. Even a cynic like me agrees. Thank you on behalf of all those that you helped. He had tremendous influence as everybody in our community craved his bhajia and he knew everyone. Food diplomacy. British Education.
