Muhammad Malallah, known as the beads was appointed Mukhi of the jama'at from Masqaţ after Khalfan. His mastery of Persian gave him a special closeness with the third Aga Khan, Sultan Muhammad Shah, during celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of the latter in Bombay in 1937.
