The German Colonial Handbook 1903 mentions "Nur Mohammed Mulji" as an Indian firm, resident in Kilwa 1903.

In spite of some difficulties, the Ithna-asheris continued to prosper and increase numerically. A big mosque was erected by equal contributions of Nur Muhammed Mulji, Alidina Dhalla, and Ismail Bhalloo.[1]
