Nuruddin was the youngest son of Alijah Datoo Meru, who was also born in Gwadar in 1918.
He was interested in decorative and engraving skills and took the leading part in the decoration of the Gwadar Jamatkhana, particularly the ceiling work as well as the seasonal decoration on festive occasions.
He migrated to Nairobi and then moved to Vancouver, Canada.
