The German Colonial Handbook 1908 mentions "Salehmohamed Visram" as an Indian trader, resident in Mpwapwa in 1908. Since he is not listed in 1904 version of the German Colonial Handbook, it would seem that he arrived in Mpwapwa between 1904 and 1908, with his brother Bandali Visram, who seems to moved from Kilosa.
