Alidina purchased some fertile tracks in the area of Malir in the newly developing British port city of Karachi.
He developed a flourishing business and opened his office in Kharadhar, Karachi.
Alidina Asani was a leading merchant, exporting rice in different parts of India.
His sons also ventured into the business of hides and skins.
In 1864, he is said to have purchased a big plot in Lyari quarter for the Khoja graveyard.
